The Indiana University South Bend Libraries welcome donations of books, CDs, DVDs, graphic novels, Zines, and scores, which support teaching, learning and research. Of particular interest are scholarly items published or produced within the past ten years.
Only those materials in good condition that are free of marks, mold, or visible water damage can be accepted.
We are unable to accept:
- Materials in poor condition
- Gifts with restrictions on their disposition or location
- Print periodicals (journals or magazines), cassette tapes, computer software, or VHS tapes
Upon receipt, all gift materials become the property of the Indiana University South Bend Libraries. Items may be added to library holdings as first, additional, or replacement copies.
The Libraries reserves the right to determine retention, location, cataloging treatment and other considerations relating to the use and disposition of gifts.
The Indiana University South Bend Libraries are committed to providing socially and environmentally responsible disposition of gift materials not needed for our collection. Materials not selected for addition to our collection may be donated to other institutions, sold, recycled, or discarded. Proceeds from the sale of unwanted materials are used to benefit the Libraries.
