Residents of the state of Indiana with a valid state or city picture I.D. (and 2 pieces of mail postmarked in the last month) may be issued an Indiana University Libraries borrowing card free of charge. Visitors may have access to four designated computers in Schurz Library by checking out a username and password with an IU borrowing card. Wireless access is available to visitors. Visitors should choose IU GUEST for free access.
IU students performing research and class work have priority for computer use. As a depository of government publications, library staff will make accommodation for guests needing access to online US government publications. Others may be asked to relinquish their computer.
Faculty visiting from other institutions may request borrowing privileges through their sponsoring academic department.
High school teachers, in cooperation with their high school librarian, are encouraged to bring their students to the Schurz Library for research. To make arrangements, please contact Nancy Colborn or 520-4321 at least 10 days in advance of the preferred date.
