From the June 12 Daily Titan:
Explore the LGBTQ experience across Indiana in this special temporary exhibition from the Indiana Historical Society.
“A Visual Journey: From AIDS to Marriage Equality” features the work of photographer Mark A. Lee who has chronicled Indiana’s LGBTQ communities over the past thirty years. From the onset of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s through those who fought for marriage equality, the exhibition also pays tribute to five very special people who are no longer here (for reasons other than AIDS) while taking a closer look at the transgender community.
Celebrate 30 years of LGBTQ history as seen through the lens of a talented photographer.
Co-sponsored by the IU South Bend Queer-Straight Alliance, St. Joseph County Public Library, Imani Unidad, and the IU South Bend Archives.
