Special note for community users

Following IU guidelines, members of the community should only be on campus for "essential business, such as prospective students and their families." To ensure the safest experience for all, community users with Resident/Affiliate library cards can check out library materials and pick them up via our convenient Curbside Delivery service. Pre-arranged appointments are required for community users wishing to use Archives & Special Collections, Government Publications, and production services at the WERC.

Your safety is our priority

  • Masks are required inside the library – even if you are sitting alone at a work table. Forget your mask? Don’t worry – we have extras at the Circulation Desks.
  • Group study rooms can be reserved for single users only. Conference rooms are unavailable.
  • Seating capacity has been reduced to allow for social distancing.
  • Cleaning supplies can be found on each floor.
  • Returned books are being quarantined for three days before they are checked in.
