When you know that you want journal articles for your
research, you will usually start at the
Reference & Research
page, and then click on the pull-down menu that says, "To Look
for Articles." When you look at this listing, the choices may
seem overwhelming. How do you choose where to begin?
A good place to start is almost always the
EBSCOhost databases, which are at the top of the menu.
There are a number of databases available from EBSCO that you
can search at one time, and there is an interdisciplinary
database called Academic Search Premier that will cover most
of the topics that you might be interested in.
It's often a good idea to search more than one database, so
if you're still curious, you can try a few of those listed on
the menu. You can also look at the
Subject
Guides available on the
Reference & Research
page. Within those broad subjects, we've noted some useful
databases. Or if you want some expert guidance on which
database to choose, you can
ask a
reference librarian.
