Abstract:
This collection contains materials from Indiana University South Bends self studies of various years. The self study process is a part of the accreditation process on any university or college campus. The accrediting body for IU South Bend is the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (NCA).
The self study is a process by which various departments and divisions of the IU South Bend campus have assessed their procedures and their impact on their students and the community. Their findings are then compiled into self studies. The self studies are used in the periodic and key accreditation process of the campus by the NCA.
This collection is a record of the various departments of the IU South Bend campus and their continuing endeavors to remain accountable, and to keep the academic level of the campus high.
Scope and Content Note: This collection is arranged by topic and within that, chronologically. It demonstrates the data that the various parts of the IU South Bend campus has amassed and just how that data informs the accreditation process.
